There being no objection, it was so ordered. HB 500 was read the third time. Amendment No. 1 (title amendment) was offered by Representatives Samuels and Berkowitz: Page 1, line 1: Delete "relating to medical review organizations" Insert "including the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations under the definition of medical review organizations" Representative Samuels moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. There being no objection, Amendment No. 1 was adopted and the new title follows: HOUSE BILL NO. 500(title am) "An Act including the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations under the definition of medical review organizations; and providing for an effective date." The question being: "Shall HB 500(title am) pass the House?" There being no objection, it was so ordered. HB 500(title am) was referred to the Chief Clerk for engrossment.
